Mitchell, a Colorado native, graduated from Doane College in Crete, NE with a degree in exercise science and was also a member of the men’s soccer team. From there, he went to Shenandoah University where he was one of only 5 students accepted each year to complete a dual degree program, receiving a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Masters in Athletic Training in an accelerated 4 year program.
Mitchell’s career has led him to work with a wide variety of athletes ranging from youth, high school, collegiate and professional levels including MLB, NFL and MLS. His main passion has always been with soccer and he gained valuable experience spending several months working with DC United in MLS. Mitchell now shares that passion and knowledge as an assistant coach in Huntington Beach high school’s women’s soccer program.
Professionally, Mitchell is certified in Active Release Techniques (ART), performance of Selective Functional Movement Assessments (SFMA), running Sportsmetrics injury prevention programs, and utilizing a variety of manual and tool assisted therapy techniques to provide the best treatment possible.
